About The Piston Foundation - Fueling the careers of future collector car technicians.

The Piston Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that helps young car enthusiasts jumpstart a career as a collector car technician. Piston helps them get the education, training, and job opportunities they need to unlock these in-demand careers. Piston awards tech-school scholarships, connects aspiring technicians with jobs, and champions skilled trade careers in automotive restoration.

Since 2022, Piston has provided 53 scholarships to 37 individuals, enabling them to pursue their technical skill-building education at colleges and trade-schools in six states: GA, FL, KS, MA, OH, and PA. Piston programs are making an impact and to date ten Piston Scholars have graduated from their auto-tech programs and are now working in the collector car industry.

The car community is facing a shortage of qualified technicians and restoration specialists. Your donation will support the continuing work of The Piston Foundation to end the technician shortage by fueling the passion and talent of the next generation.
