TCRAS - Fostering Hope & New Beginnings

Teller County Regional Animal Shelter (TCRAS) cares for approximately 1000 dogs and cats per year that are lost, abandoned, abused, neglected, surrendered or transferred into our care. We give each companion pet that enters our facility the time, medical care, nutricious meals, training and love until they find their 2nd chance at a new beginning. Our mission is "Fostering Hope & New Beginnings" and we endeavor to honor our mission by ensuring the Five Freedoms: Freedom from hunger & thirst, Freedom from discomfort, Freedom from pain, injury & disease, Freedom to express normal behavior, & Freedom from fear & distress. We do not receive government funding other than the contract to care for dogs and cats brought into our facility by Teller County Animal Control. We rely on generous donations, grants and fundraising to operate.
