The SCCA Foundation is the 501(c)(3) charitable arm of the Sports Car Club of America. Donations in the Sweepstakes will go to support Foundation programs inlcuding:
Saving the Lives of Teen Drivers - through the TireRack Street Survival program, the SCCA Foundation and local SCCA Regions host day-long skills training programs to help teen driving learn how to avoid and deal with emergency car handling situations on the street. This program reaches hundreds of teen drivers each year and continues to grow thanks your financial support.
Preserving the History of American Motorsport - the Foundation funds the preservation work taking place at the SCCA Archives at the International Motor Racing Research Center in Watkins Glen, NY. The SCCA Archives contains the history of the SCCA, all the types of events it has sanctioned, and member and car histories since the inception of the SCCA.
Women on Track - scholarships and mentorship programs to lower the barriers and faciliate participation by women in motorsports as drivers, voluneers, and leaders.
SCCA Academy - the Foundation helps to fund the SCCA's on-line Learning Management System which is modernizing the way the Club provides essential safety training, event management training, and leadership skills. The SCCA Academy is an important program for developing the track officials of the future, as well as keeping our current event volunteers up to date on the latest knowledge and best practices.
Veterans & Motorsports - the Foundation provides funding to facilitate opportunities for Veterans to participate in motorsports events. For example, VETMotorsports places active military, National Guard, Reserve, Gold Star families, and veterans with service-connected injuries and their caregivers inside the ropes and behind the wheel at motor racing events across the country.
