River’s Promise is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing education and breaking the cycle of extreme poverty for children in Rwanda. Founded by Jimmy Lakey after he adopted his son, River, from a Rwandan orphanage in 2008, the organization has grown to support hundreds of children.

River’s Promise offers a child sponsorship program that covers essential needs such as tuition, uniforms, meals, and medical care. They have also established Legacy Christian Academy, a school that provides education and meals to students in Rwanda. The organization focuses on spiritual, educational, and economic development to empower the community
